The PEI Reach Foundation is a registered not- for-profit charitable organization that works with youth (ages 15-30) in recovery from addiction and mental health issues. The primary program offered by the Foundation assists clients in the development of transferable skills by providing guidance with recovery through life skills, coaching, support and motivation to build confidence, self-esteem through a valuable work experience as a bridge to long-term, meaningful employment and/or post-secondary education. Positive recreational activities to improve social skills and prevent relapse in clients. The Foundation operates on a model of social enterprise, in which participants of Reach Centre programming gain valuable work experience by creating products to be sold, with profits going directly back into the Reach Centre's operation. The goal of the social enterprise model is to become financially independent, with social programming supported through business operations.
