Programs
The PEI Reach Foundation operates in three departments, as follows:
Resource Component and Administration: an access point and resource centre
for youth in recovery from addictions and mental health issues. The PEI
Reach Foundation provides support, educational sessions, life skills
training, a mentor /mentee program, a support group and parent support
group.
Social Enterprise Component: operates through its Work Experience Program
(WEP), will provide supervised employment opportunities to recovering youth,
and will provide them with transferable work and life skills that will
assist them in their future career choices, while building their confidence
and self-esteem. The WEP will provide participants with structured work days
and daily living skills through business streams that eventually will ensure
fiscal sustainability.
Reach Day Retreat/Social: provides a daily drop in centre that's supervised, with a
meeting lounge, life skills coaching with kitchen skills, gardening,
hobbies, arts & crafts, recreational & physical sporting activities, music
programs, games in a social setting that's a stigma free, structured,
supportive environment. The youth utilizing the clubhouse are welcome to
participate in the social enterprise component as a volunteer if it should
interest them.
